Our Story

Melody Taylor, Beautiful Lives Owner

Melody and her husband Lewis started Beautiful Lives Boutique in Fayetteville, Arkansas after launching an upscale nonprofit thrift store called Shop My Closet based in Little Rock. Profits from this store helped fund the mission of Go Near Ministry and James 127 Foundation to care for vulnerable women and children in Africa. The idea for reselling clothing for missions started with the Taylor family hosting countless garage sales to raise funds for their Go Near Ministry missions work in Guatemala and Africa. In 2012, a friend, Melanie Boutiettte returned from a Go Near mission trip in Africa with Melody and wanted to help raise funds for Go Near projects. Melanie invited her friends to donate their extra clothing and come shop at the first Shop My Closet event hosted in her home. It was a success!

The Taylor’s moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2016 to launch Beautiful Lives Boutique in Fayetteville. The store is successful in giving free clothing to women in need and shares profits with organizations that help women and children locally and globally. The dream is to expand this successful thrift store model to other areas of the US and overseas.

I LOVE to share a great find!! I have found an awesome find in Beautiful Lives boutique!!! They are a nonprofit upscale thrift shop which donates all their profits to women and children in need, locally and globally. They have labels like Old Navy, Chicos, Coldwater Creek, and more. They even have one room devoted to only black and white clothing. Everything I purchased was $10 or less. Their prices are incredible!! Go see Ms. Melody at Beautiful Lives to shop or donate your gently used clothing!!
