Go Near Ministry
Go Near Ministry was founded by Lewis and Melody Taylor as a nonprofit in 2005 to answer the call from James 1:27 “to care for widows and orphans in distress.” For more than a decade, Melody has served as the Go Near Ministry Executive Director. More than 400 Go Near Ministry volunteers have traveled oversees to serve and distribute requested supplies in areas of extreme poverty in Guatemala and Africa. The Taylor family lived in Kenya before returning back to Arkansas. After launching Shop My Closet in Little Rock, they moved to Fayetteville in 2016 to launch Beautiful Lives Boutique.
With the focus on launching Beautiful Lives Boutique, Melody has not been leading Go Near Ministry trips of volunteers to serve overseas recently, but continues to support ongoing projects of trusted Go Near workers and partners in Kenya.
